I am confused about my 2 stereoviews showing Lincoln's home in Springfield draped in mourning.

The top stereoview, on the back, I can read "Lincolns Home" and below that, I think is says "May July." Is this correct?

In the bottom stereoview it reads"President Lincolns House/Springifleld Ill." And below that on the back "May 17 of 1866."

Comparing the 2 stereoviews, it appears that both were taken the same day. So, why the 2 different dates? Perhaps the second one the new owner wrote the day they bought it, but that seems unlikely. Any ideas?
