Please pardon, if you will, the sentimentality, but today would have been the 80th birthday of my angel mother, who died in 2003 after a two-year battle with cancer.

If your parents are still with you, take a moment to let them know how much they mean to you. If they have passed on, take a moment and reflect upon their influence on you.

My mum passed 8 years ago to cancer. I miss her every day. Even now, I sometimes wake up and can't comprehend she isn't around...at least not in this world. I feel her around me though, sometimes.
