I don't buy it. These guys (Booth and Herold) got lucky (unlucky for the country). Booth was an immature, political zealot, egotistical, self aggrandizing, inexperienced, wanna be. He reminds me of a kid who watches a spy movie and pretends he's 007.
He doesn't seem to worry about being recognized, he wants people to know he did it. So why worry about crossing the bridge? Paine couldn't even figure out how to get out of town. There may have been some bright minds behind the original plan, but it's not these guys. But then again, I could be mistaken. So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |
