Well, Betty, it comes as no surprise, but you have stumped the Yankee!
When this photo was taken in Feb., 1865, Tad accompanied Lincoln to Gardner's studio. A nice photo was taken of Lincoln and Tad - the one where Tad is leaning on a table as Lincoln is seated across from him. In this photo, Lincoln is sharpening Tad's pencil. I have your address Betty, so I will send out your handbill tomorrow. ** Sweet gal that she is, Betty have offered to donate the next prize for the next installment of "Stump the Yankee". It wasn't over at Appomattox Court House and this ain't over yet, either!
