For those folks who are curious about the betting odds from Europe here are the latest in a variety of categories. In the best picture category the odds for Lincoln are generally in the vicinity of 5-1 with Argo an overwhelming favorite in the betting.

Roger, our team is the Phillies. Cool My husband has been a fan of theirs, and a baseball fanatic, since he was a young boy. And, since we got married 26 years ago, he's really brought me up to speed on the ins and outs of baseball, and has educated me on much baseball history. (I'm from New York originally; technically, I should be a Yankees fan. But I'm not.)

Anyway, we'll all know in a few hours the results of the Oscars. Not me, though. I probably won't know till tomorrow morning. This will be the first time in a long time that I don't watch. I'm afraid the experience would be masochistic.

GeneC, the way you express the importance of the Lincoln film is how I had been seeing it for months, until Argo took all the air out of my balloon! Undecided
