Another great Groucho story-there are sooooo many.
It was around 1942.
All the Japenese had been rounded up and locked up due to the war, so there was a shortage of Japanese gardeners in the L.A, area.
So Groucho was doing his own gardening, sans makeup, out in front of his house.
A big fancy car pulls up, and a wealthy lady rolls down the window.
She looks at Groucho, not recognizing him, and asks,
"How much does the lady of the house pay you to do her gardening??"
Groucho looks up and replies,
"She doesn't pay me anything, but she lets me sleep with her once a week!"

The man was unbelievable!!
