Is it the Academy of Music in New York? On his inaugural train trip, while in New York, Lincoln attended a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's opera, "Un ballo in maschera," on February 20, 1861.

Very good, Gene, the gentleman in the photo is P. T. Barnum, but the sketch does not show the Castle Garden Theatre. Joe, I'm sorry, it was not located in Albany either.

Hint #3: Mary, Tad, and Willie visited this establishment during the inaugural trip.

Excellent, Laurie. The sketch shows the Lecture Room of Barnum's American Museum (in1853), which actually was an elegant theatre.

Can't help it - although this house looks different to the photo on Anita's link on the other thread it instantly looks like the Edwards' home to me. (Remodeling result perhaps??)

Ok. Without further consulting Anita's link for inspiration, I have some more ideas. I'll "stay" in Springfield first (without knowing if the houses still stand).
The Edwards' home reminds me of the Lincolns' wedding reminds me of the "original"(ly intended) setting, thus the Francis' home?
