Teddy Roosevelt watching Lincoln's funeral procession
I'm sure this might have been mentioned earlier in the Forum, but I came across this interesting article about a photograph of a very young Teddy Roosevelt watching Lincoln's funeral procession in New York with his brother Elliott (Eleanor's future father):

Yes. It has been covered here previously but is always fascinating to revisit. I’m sure Roger can find the original discussion?

Good memory, Bill! It was way back in 2012. Please go here.

Thanks, Roger. 2012? We are in the 10th anniversary year if the forum? Didn’t this forum start that year?

Roger Norton was the first member on June 6, 2012 and several others on July 4-10
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in?

Yes, Gene. I think I downloaded the software in June 2012 but didn't actually get things going until the next month.

So, Roger—-anything special planned for the 10th anniversary?

Hi Bill. No, not really. My preference is to let it come and go without any fanfare.

I don't know about Roger but I'm planning on something special.

I was planning on splurging with a gourmet meal at the the Cozy Dog Drive Inn in Springfield, but with the price of gasoline and everything else increasing, I many have to economize and have a less extravagant local celebration of a Dilly Bar at Dairy Queen. Fido says he's happy with either one except he's not getting an extra large one this year. He doesn't do a very good job at cleaning up the leather seats.
Cool

Gene, I wish we had a place like this near where we live.
