Retirement & new job!
I haven't been around the forum much in the past year. What I call the 'day job' has taken much of my time as the agency has cut staffing yet increased responsibilities. As of March 1, I'm retiring from the Louisiana State Park Service. On March 2, I will become the historian for the Claiborne Parish (County) Library in Homer, Louisiana. It will be the first time in 43 years I haven't worn a gun and badge to work and been on call 24/7, but it will give me time to complete all those unfinished writing projects like the "Tools of the Assassins" manuscript many of you have concluded will never be finished.
I know some of you will be envious of my new job--actually getting paid a salary to research, write, and give presentations! Hope to see many of you at the conference in April! |

Congratulations and welcome to the other side, Wes! It's pretty nice here. Best of luck and enjoy it!!

Congratulations - this reminds me of a song - "C'mon Sixty Five" by Mel McDaniel
