Assassination Dates and Easter Dates
For the second time this century, weekend dates for Easter 2017 match the 1865 weekend dates of Easter and, of course, the dates associated with the Lincoln assassination. The previous occurrence in this century was 2006. The next occurrence will be 2028.
To me, for some reason the dates seem more symbolic when they match the 1865 sequence of Good Friday on April 14 and Easter on April 16. Bob |

Our bus will be leaving the museum and heading to Ford's at nearly the hour that Lincoln went to the "angels" or "ages." I had hoped to run an 1865 Easter sermon in the April issue of the Surratt Courier, however, I had to yield to another article. That sermon will be carried in the May issue, which I hope to get in the mail during the last week of April. |

By the way, I hope you catch that Booth fellow. He's been on the run for a very long time. Captured but never caught. |
