Tad - New Photo?

Whatever became of this photo? New owner? What did it sell for?

UNPUBLISHED CDV OF TAD LINCOLN (?) Cdv with imprint of H. Manger’s Gallery, Philadelphia, showing well dressed gentleman with a boy we believe to be Tad Lincoln on his knee. An old penciled notation on verso reads: “Oct 16th, 1863. Mrs. Pomeroy Gave Me Mr. Sweeney and Teddy (sic) Lincoln.” We have no other information about Sweeney or Pomeroy. This image could be the sleeper of the auction; please note, while we cannot guarantee this to be Tad, we do believe there is a strong likelihood. Bid with your eyes and mind open! (We have recently learned that Mrs. Pomeroy was the housekeeper at the Lincoln Whitehouse and Mr. Sweeney (Swainey) the doorkeeper).

I believe that photo is now part of Keya Morgan's collection. I think the gentleman with Tad is a Philadelphia friend of his named Thomas W. Sweney. Sweney was the assessor of Internal Revenue at Philadelphia. Tad had at least two adult friends in Philadelphia - another was Gus Gumpert.

I talked to Keya Morgan over a year ago.His collection is very vast to say the least!

Are you saying that there are OTHER pictures of Tad that we haven't seen?

Here is a Tad Lincoln photo not often seen in books. Back in 2005 Rick Gumpert sent me a photo of Tad posing with Rick's great grandfather, Gustav E. Gumpert. Gus was a friend of Tad's who lived in Philadelphia. Rick told me that Carl Sandburg had once contacted his mother about the family's photograph of Tad and Gus plus other information about the Tad Lincoln-Gus Gumpert friendship. Here is the image Rick Gumpert sent me:
