RE: Jim Getty Carries Forth Lincoln's Legacy
As my tribute to Jim, I would like to refer you back to the first post on this thread that I made in 2013, after having Jim appear as Mr. Lincoln at Surratt House Museum. It sort of reiterates what his children said in the above obituary.

RE: Jim Getty Carries Forth Lincoln's Legacy
While we all loved Jim Getty as Abraham Lincoln, he had a great personal history of service to young people also. This will show the real man under the stovepipe hat: http://www.gettysburgtimes.com/obituarie...a10be.html

When I first learned of his musical background, I was flabbergasted. I just could not imagine him having any other voice than the one that he fashioned after Mr. Lincoln's high-pitched twang! I also did not realize that his is the voice at the Lincoln Memorial.

RE: Jim Getty Carries Forth Lincoln's Legacy
I had the opportunity to meet Jim Getty several times over the last couple of years. He was a very genuine man with a true gentleness of spirit. I think Mr. Lincoln would have been very comfortable with a man such as that portraying him.
