New Book by James McPherson

I just received notice that Dr. James McPherson's newest book will be published in October and is entitled Embattled Rebel: Jefferson Davis as Commander-in-Chief.

In the same notice was news of a new book on Mathew Brady: Portraits of the Nation by Robert Wilson. It is described as a lavishly illustrated biography of the photographer. Both Mr. Wilson and Dr. McPherson will be speakers at The Lincoln Forum held in Gettysburg on November 16-18.
