Who is this lady?
This question is from Laurie. She sent the photo and I uploaded it to my server. Laurie's question is, "Who is this lady?"

RE: Who is this lady?
Wow, are those dreadlocks?
So when is this "Old Enough To Know Better" supposed to kick in? |

RE: Who is this lady?
I'm trying to figure out how this woman got her hair in that contortion! If those things are her hair, they are what used to be called finger curls.

RE: Who is this lady?
I have to think that those finger curls are extensions tucked up beneath what might have been called a "waterfall" in that period.
Hint: This lady was an actress of the Booth era. |

Isn't that what was called "Rats and Mice"? It's even mentioned in GWTW.... "The Past is a foreign country...they do things differently there" - L. P. Hartley |

RE: Who is this lady?
That's what Maddie thought the hairdo was called also. I must have missed that in GWTW.
Back to the question: Hint #2 - This lady was evidently good with a knife. Wonder if she concealed it in that hair? |

RE: Who is this lady?
The actress that stabbed Booth in his Albany hotel room. Can't think of her name.

Time for some old style humor: "Who was that lady?" Answer: "That no lady-that was my wife!" Shades of Don Rickles.

You remember correctly Mr. Beckert and Mr. Smyth - I can't stump the Yankees. Just call Henrietta Miss Slash and Dash. I believe jealousy got the best of her?

RE: Who is this lady?
She took out the blade when Booth told her he had no intention of marrying her. The old free milk and the cow story.........

That's strange. Whenever I asked someone to marry me, they took out a knife....
