Bill,

The Twilight Zone is one of my favorite shows and "Back There" is one of my favorite episodes for obvious reasons. I just bought this Russell Johnson autographed hanky a couple months ago. Those of you who have seen the episode will understand the significance.

For those of you unfamiliar, you can watch the whole episode here:

Wow, fantastic, Dave! What a find -

Yes, that episode of Twilight Zone is also one of my very favorites! Thanks for posting the link - it's a keeper!

Dave: where did you purchase it? Do you mind sharing how much you paid? I think it is totally awesome.

What famous actor made his small screen debut in 1955 portraying Abraham Lincoln?

Many years later the same actor sublet his residence in New York to what famous couple?

Famous couple with an apartment in NYC? Makes me instantly thinking of John Lennon and Yoko Ono (and the Dakota building, where Polanski also shot "Rosmary's Baby"). They bought one of the later joint apartments from Robert Ryan. So this would be my guess?

Eva: you are spot on! Great work. The actor was Robert Ryan. He played Abraham Lincoln for television in 1955. He later sublet his apartment to John and Yoko.

Very cool, Bill - a combined Lincoln-Lennon question!! (If you consider awarding a prize I'd appreciate some more good wishes for Germany to beat Algeria tonight!)

What do Abraham Lincoln, Amelia Earhart and Paul McCartney have in common?

Does it have anything to do with the roses I bought Vicki for her birthday?

You got it, Roger! I heard that on Sunday Baroque.

Your prize is a trip to the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden in the New York Botanical Garden where the roses are at peak color RIGHT NOW.

Bill, the answer is that Lincoln, McCartney and Earhart all had roses named after them. I asked Roger to post a photo of the Mr. Lincoln hybrid tea rose.

Silly me- regarding Sir Paul- I thought it might have something to do with his album Red Rose Speedway!
