I just received an invitation to a lecture and book signing with John Taliaferro at the National Archives in D.C. at noon on Wednesday, October 30. Has anyone read his All the Great Prizes: The Life of John Hay from Lincoln to Roosevelt?

I did. It's excellent, although I was somewhat disappointed in his history of how Nicolay and Hay wrote their 10 volume biography of Lincoln.
