Wonder if Dr. Leale carried these in his medical kit -- OR perhaps Dr. Porter?!? RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - RJNorton - 07-21-2012 07:24 AM HA! Betty, you've come up with some great ones - this is one of your best! You have a gift! RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - BettyO - 07-21-2012 07:35 AM (07-21-2012 07:24 AM)RJNorton Wrote: HA! RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - J. Beckert - 07-21-2012 07:38 AM I wonder what the prize is. RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - BettyO - 07-21-2012 08:01 AM (07-21-2012 07:38 AM)J. Is it real? I'm going to see if they really can be purchased. I give Lincoln presentations. The bandages really would be a hoot. I just ordered two boxes at $4.95 per! RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - LincolnMan - 07-21-2012 07:11 PM If anyone is interested in purchasing the bandages, here is the website I used: http://www.neatorama.com/2012/07/21/abraham-lincoln-bandages/ RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - LincolnMan - 07-26-2012 11:32 AM Forum members: I received my order of two packages of the Lincoln bandages today! I'm going to use them in a future Lincoln presentation. I couldn't resist opening one to see what the prize inside was. It was a horse tatoo. Maybe its the horse Booth fled on. OR....if it's wearing an eye patch -- it may be Lew Powell's one-eyed nag! HA! Too bad it wasn't a tattoo of JWB's initials! RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - LincolnMan - 07-27-2012 03:12 PM Betty: you're cracking me up! Yes, the tattoo with JWB initials could be strategically placed on the knuckles-just like Booths. Now that would be tacky! Which hand? RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - LincolnMan - 12-20-2012 11:24 AM We did the "gag gift" thing at work yesterday as part of our Christmas celebration. I used a brand new unopened container of Lincoln bandages for my gag gift. It actually was the most popular item in the bunch. In fact, several said that they were going to purchase their own on line! RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - Laurie Verge - 12-20-2012 02:33 PM My grandson's getting one in his stocking. RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - LincolnMan - 12-20-2012 08:16 PM How old is he? RE: Abraham Lincoln Bandages - Laurie Verge - 12-21-2012 09:45 AM He's twelve, so it will be a "Gee, thanks..." kind of thing for him. I guarantee it will never be used. |
