I did though say that the words 'thrown away' were spoken before Lincoln was assassinated.
( I did not say how long before ... and having double-checked I think that it could be debated as to whether I'm correct ... but then we'll never know)

Ok, ok. Those words about throwing away all that hard cash ... were almost definitely not spoken ... but they should have been.
(Sorry about the confusion but you'll understand when you get the answer. And anyway I'm part Irish which excuses confusion but has nothing to do with the answer)
Something happened to stop those words from being spoken (which wouldnt have been heard anyway)
