Once again the Oscars proved how much Hollywood hates Steven Spielberg and how much they love themselves.
"Argos" was a movie in which Hollywood types are portrayed as heroic. A no-brainer choice for Hollywood.
The year before the best picture was "The Artist" a silent film for heaven's sake about the early days of Hollywood.

Anyone see a pattern here?

Yes, the Oscar results definitely were a case of Hollywood patting itself on the back.

But a lot of people are already saying that the Lincoln movie will stand the test of time; Argo will not. I certainly agree with that!
