Went onto Archive.org and found a PDF or eBook of Stanley Kimmel's Mr Lincoln's Washington for free! How wonderful - I own a hardback copy of this book, but decided that it would look good on my Nook as well....

Thanks Betty, some great photographs and illustraitons I have never seen before.
I don't recall seeing the photo of the entire old Capitol Prison on p71 before and the map of Booth's escape route in DC on p191

Thanks for the memories, Betty. Kimmel's book on Mr. Lincoln's Washington was one of the first in my collection. I also love the one he did on Mr. Davis' Richmond.

Oh, yes - I've got both in hardback - but I thought it'd be cool to have it in eBook format as well.... it's a great resource and was one of my first as well!

I've had that book for about 40 years and think that I paid about $5.00 for mine as well....
