Can People Think Anymore? - David Lockmiller - 09-25-2024 08:44 AM

The New York Times reports today: A desert motor race in northern Chile destroyed geoglyphs — vast figures that Indigenous people carved thousands of years ago.

I know this post has nothing to do directly with Lincoln.

Lincoln's New Salem is in trouble too.

I was unable to find any updated information on repairs to many of the structures.

Things like this seem to be happening with more frequency. There are those who have zero appreciation for things of the past. Artifacts are not even safe in museums. We give a collective sigh of sadness and say “Such is life.”

I think we should give a collective sigh of sadness and say "This is wrong!"

Of course. It is wrong. I was glad to note that those two protesters who had thrown tomato soup on a Vincent Van Gogh painting recently received prison sentences. Sometimes there is justice.

Do you know that Israel used to be called Palestine?

Recently, the government of this democracy provided free to the government of Israel nine 2,000 pound bombs that were used to assassinate one man (and murder an untold number of completely innocent people of another sovereign nation).

Senator Bernie Sanders previously stated that "not a nickel" should be spent to provide munitions to Israel. I agree with Senator Sanders.

Sometimes in this world, there is injustice without any penalty whatsoever.
