Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis - RJNorton - 05-05-2023 05:26 AM

I was in the hospital for 9 days with an acute attack of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. I had been having feelings of breathlessness for several weeks before going to the ER. I just thought it was old age. Since there was no known cause, one guess of the docs is that I had symptomless Covid a while ago, and this weakened the lungs and brought on the attack. I almost died as things got worse during the early days of the hospital stay. I was on huge amounts of oxygen. Now I am back home, I have oxygen as needed. I am extremely weak, and recovery may be long and difficult.

Thank you all for your cards, calls, etc. Much appreciated.
