Roger Norton - Joe Di Cola - 04-27-2023 04:42 PM

As you may have noticed, Roger has not posted for a number of days. I called to see if everything was OK and spoke to his daughter, Sarah. Roger had been experiencing shortness of breath. He is in the hospital and, with oxygen therapy, he is doing well. However, he will be hospitalized until they get his oxygen levels where they need to be. Please keep him in your prayers that he may have a quick and full recovery, and that his condition continues to improve with medication and other therapies.
Joe Di Cola

RE: Roger Norton - AussieMick - 04-28-2023 08:01 AM

Yes, indeed. All the best, mate.

I was wondering why we havent had any Trivia Questions for a few days ... obviously because one of main sources is hors de combat ( hey, how about that ... I'll write it again hors de combat ).

Maybe we should make a special effort for Roger and come up with a question ... anyone ? ( dont look at me ... I'm struggling)

So sorry to hear that Roger is not feeling well. Thanks Joe for checking in on him. I hope he continues to improve and is back here soon! Get well soon, Roger!

Best
Rob

Hi,

I have shared all of your thoughts with Roger's family and they feel blessed by them.

Roger is still hospitalized but IS responding to treatment. However, the doctors still want to monitor his condition for a bit. Needless to say, Roger is feling some frustration and would like to be back at his computer, exchanging information, trivia, and quips with you.

Roger's daughter, Sarah, says Vicki is doing okay, but Roger's absence has been a strain. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

I will post updates as I learn of them.

Joe Di Cola

I WAS TOLD MY MESSAGE DID NOT SEND, SO I AM TRYING AGAIN.

Joe, thanks for the update and passing our our messages to Sarah.

It's a relief to know Roger is responding to treatment.

Roger,
Prayers are with with you as you continue on the path to recovery.
While you don't have your computer at the hospital, I hope you have a good TV and are tuning in to your essential weekend sports programming.
Best wishes,
Anita

I second Anita!!! Roger, you do need a smartphone...I do everything online via that, and for me it was essential in hospital to keep in touch with life and the outside world...I hope and pray you'll be back to health soon and to Vicki, Addison, your home, you computer and the forum!

I hope he's better soon!

RE: Roger Norton - AussieMick - 05-02-2023 01:00 AM

Roger, when not using my laptop I use a 'tablet' (Samsung) that's now about 10 years old.

Smartphone? I'm one of the old fogies who believe a phone is for making phone calls. (Except for the "map" application and I get lost walking)

All the best to you and Vicki and Sarah (one of my stepdaughters' name) and all your family.

Oh no! I'm sad to hear Roger is having some health issues. But glad to hear he is on the road to recovery.

Joe, thanks so much for keeping us informed!

Get well soon Roger!!
