The Agitators - Susan Higginbotham - 04-04-2021 09:27 AM

I haven't started it yet, but this weekend I bought Dorothy Wickenden's "The Agitators: Three Friends Who Fought for Abolition and Women's Rights," about Harriet Tubman, Martha Coffin Wright, and Frances Seward. I'm interested in it particularly for the sake of Frances Seward, who tends to be dismissed as a high-nosed invalid.

I always liked the arguments on principle that she had with her husband.
