lincoln book - mbgross - 03-22-2021 08:20 AM A friend of mine gave me a children's book titled Martin and Abraham Lincoln by Catherine Coblentz. It is about a child who meets Lincoln on the steps of the Capitol. It claims it is based on a true story. Can anyone shed anymore light on it? thanks RE: lincoln book - Steve - 03-23-2021 01:16 AM This article may be of interest to you: https://vermonthistory.org/journal/72/vt721_207.pdf RE: lincoln book - RJNorton - 03-23-2021 05:58 AM That's a wonderful article, Steve. Thanks for posting. IMO, the story is doubtful. RE: lincoln book - mbgross - 03-23-2021 06:29 AM Thank you Steve! That was exactly what I was looking for. RE: lincoln book - Gene C - 03-23-2021 10:31 AM Thanks for posting that Steve. I like to read some of the older children's books on Abraham Lincoln. I was aware of the book, just wasn't sure if I wanted to get it. I probably will now. |
