There really was a Gal who worked with L Cole and John Y Beall when they tried to capture the USShip Michigan on Lake Erie in Ohio. The detective, who followed them from Canada to Washington to Harrisburg to Ohio was very impressed with her and called her “Irish Lize” Always wondered what happened to her. By an unexpected chain of events, her 1848 house is now on the national register of historic places not because of her but because they want to preserve the building because of its style and age. When you are not looking, history just coms jumping out in unexpected ways. The preservation society knows nothing about her, except she owned and built the house.

That's interesting.
How did you learn about her?
Where is the house?

"When you are not looking, history just coms jumping out in unexpected ways."

Love when that happens!
