Thomas Nast Political Cartoon Up for Sale - L Verge - 10-27-2018 04:27 PM Bob Cook has sent a very appropriate advertisement from eBay given the unfortunate actions of one gentleman from Florida this week: Harper's Weekly 1879 - Freedom to assassinate those we don't like! Thomas Nast: eBay item #251857545670. I tried to cut and paste the political cartoon that Nast created in 1879, but failed. It is a good historical point, however, that politics can turn ugly and brutal on many levels and at any point in world history. It is still beautiful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Nast_Home RE: Thomas Nast Political Cartoon Up for Sale - RJNorton - 10-28-2018 10:53 AM Thanks to Steve for sending this image. It's from the Hathitrust site/archive of Harper's issues (originally from the University of Michigan). |
