Not our time period, but how many of you remembered yesterday that it was the 73rd anniversary of the atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima? Whether we agree with the action or not, it should be remembered so that all nations take steps to avoid ever getting even close to the brink of such disaster again.

Only one crew member of the three planes that participated in the drop that day is still alive. Here's a brief article about him:

I remember the date for two reasons; the reason that you state and August 6 is the date of my sister's birthday.

If you knew my sister, her birthday is not something that you should forget.
