I am a little bummed. I was in Springfield yesterday...missed it being on public display by one day. Won't make it back in the 2 weeks it will be exhibited. Oh well!

When I saw the names Lincoln and Willie I felt a rush of emotions that caught me off guard. I paused for some time reflecting on the journey father and son made to Washington by train, what transpired there and the funeral train journey that brought them home to Springfield. Thank you Director Michael Lelys for rediscovering the book and raising the funds for restoration.
