Question about Collected Works ed. Basler 1953 - ELCore - 11-11-2017 02:41 PM I have what might seem to be a silly question about the pagination of Basler's 1953 edition of the Collected Works. Page numbers are indicated in the on-line edition, but I am unsure whether each indicator marks where the page begins or where it ends. For instance, in the Address at Cooper Institute, the page number 522 precedes the speech title; following that, there's the date and the beginning of the speech; then, eventually, the page indicator 523, etc. Does this mean that the text of the speech begins on page 522 or on page 523? I have thought that I knew which, but the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced one must have recourse to the actual physical books to determine the answer to my question. If anybody could do that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. RE: Question about Collected Works ed. Basler 1953 - RJNorton - 11-11-2017 02:49 PM Lane, I have a copy, and the speech begins on p. 522. The speech ends on p. 550. RE: Question about Collected Works ed. Basler 1953 - ELCore - 11-12-2017 08:33 AM Thanks! |
