Baker/Booth items for sale? - J. Beckert - 09-03-2016 11:38 AM I've had a little back and forth with the seller and unfortunately, he has no provenance other than family lore. He's currently searching for anything to bolster his beliefs. What I found interesting was the spur appears to be a twin for the one Ford's displays as the one Booth lost there. Also, it's noteworthy that the boot Ford's has is sans spur. "Fortune's Fool" states Booth was given some food by Mary Swann "wrapped in red handkerchief". The seller thinks is noteworthy that the handkerchief appeared to have had enough significance for Baker to pass it down to his son. An interesting "could be" if nothing else. http://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Wilkes-Booth-Memorabilia-/112119590934?hash=item1a1ad93016:g:23cAAOSwvzRXyjb~ |
