Learned Something New - L Verge - 10-09-2015 01:44 PM

I am ashamed to admit that I learned something new from this morning's news (ashamed because I used to teach American govt. for a few years).

The news was discussing the surprising developments in the Speaker of the House position right now. It reported that the Speaker does not have to be elected to the House of Representatives in order to fill the position. I believe they said that the only qualifications were 35 years of age and 7 years a citizen?? How does that last one fit the bill in the line of presidential succession?

Laurie- I just learned that also. Dennis Prager was talking about it today on the radio.
