Yesterday,I met a distant relative at a Senior's Lunch.She provided me with new information about my POW great-granfather,and how he met Lincoln.It has taken me over 15yrs to find this out!-WOW.I wrote his story from his diary[published].

He met Lincoln because he was a Union POW,and Lincoln wanted to meet POW's.

Yes,and was in the local newspaper,of which she[98yrs old]showed me.WOW!I was blown away by that story.Yes,i will share it with all of you.

Yesterday,I talked to realative at a Senior Lunch about how the Civil War POW felt about meeting Abe Lincoln and she showed me newspaper clippings of this event! He stated that his heart almost stopped when he saw Lincoln,let alone,shaking Lincoln's hand.WOW!
