Does History Matter? - BettyO - 11-04-2014 09:51 AM

I recently found online a very relevant (I think!) article on the Baltimore County Historical Society site where one of their staff decided to "take it to the streets" regarding how relevant history is to the average person today.

The answers are surprising and quite positive -

History DOES indeed matter, not only to us but to a great many "lay-people" as well as the average "historian."

History is one of the best teachers and guides that man has. However it's a profound tragedy that we don't seem ever learn from it.

History not only matters...it is crucial.
