Spielberg's Lincoln - BettyO - 08-07-2012 05:30 PM Spielberg just published the first look at Mr. Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln - I must say that I AM VERY impressed!! Looks good! Go here for the complete story: http://blogs.houstonpress.com/artattack/2012/08/daniel_day_lewis_as_abe_lincol.phpSpeilberg's Lincoln RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - LincolnMan - 08-07-2012 06:08 PM That's amazing. It's a good still pic of him-seems to catch the somberness of the man. RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - L Verge - 08-07-2012 06:22 PM The wonders of make-up! Want to bet that this is the last shot we see of Lincoln in the movie? He's got that pensive look like he's now ready for "the ages." RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - Karen S. Campbell - 08-08-2012 02:03 AM Absolutely fantastic!! I can't wait to see the movie. RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - LincolnMan - 08-08-2012 06:53 AM "Get ready to see Lincoln drink the South's milkshake this fall." I haven't had my morning coffee yet- what does that sentence mean? It's from the article on the movie Laurie linked to. RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - LincolnMan - 08-08-2012 07:59 AM Betty: I'm glad you said that. I thought maybe I was dense or something! RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - Linda Anderson - 08-08-2012 08:29 AM I did a little research on Google. Daniel Day-Lewis says, "I drink your milkshake," in There Will Be Blood so it must be another way of saying that the South murdered Lincoln. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKQ3LXHKB34 RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - LincolnMan - 08-08-2012 08:39 AM Remind me to never drink that milkshake! RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - KLarson - 08-08-2012 09:14 AM Incredibly well done! Wow! Can't wait to see the film. Here is another longer article about Day-Lewis and the film: http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/08/07/first-look-daniel-day-lewis-lincoln/ RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - BettyO - 08-08-2012 09:42 AM (08-08-2012 09:14 AM)KLarson Wrote: Incredibly well done! I can't WAIT to see this one - the attention to detail which Spielberg put into this is phenomenal! It's sure to pick up some Oscars.... I also want to remind folk to be sure and watch for Killing Lincoln on the National Geo Channel in February of 2013. The ONLY similarity between the movie and O'Reilly's book is the title! I had the pleasure of working with the screenwriter, director and producer on this as did Laurie and others and I must say that this is one of the most accurate and beautifully filmed versions of the assassination I have ever seen. That looks like a painting. He's a very good actor. I do hope this movie is better than Speilberg's last attempt. RE: Spielberg's Lincoln - LincolnMan - 08-08-2012 10:10 AM What was his last attempt? I hope he's back to form with this one/. |
