Abraham Lincoln Fountain Pen - Kieran McAuliffe - 03-27-2014 07:40 AM

I thought members of this symposium might want to make note of this site when thinking about Christmas gifts. I think the price is... well... Maybe Laurie can sell them at the Surratt House.

I was getting ready to email the information to our gift shop manager at Surratt House until I scrolled to the bottom and saw the price tag! Once I recovered from choking and laughing at the same time, I decided that we will stick with our current offering -- a ball point pen which is a sculpted column with a bust of Lincoln atop it. I think we sell it for about $5....

To me the pen looks "cheap." I also had no idea of the price until I came down to the end of the narrative regarding it. That would be one pen I wouldn't be loaning out. We all know how pens tend to walk away.
