Amazing Collection - L Verge - 02-27-2014 06:29 PM http://www.buzzfeed.com/bennyjohnson/inside-the-armys-spectacular-hidden-treasure-room Wonder what they have of the Civil War era? RE: Amazing Collection - BettyO - 02-27-2014 08:10 PM Absolutely amazing, Laurie! (Boy, would I love to have a job there!!) They do show General Grant's forage cap and I saw a painting of Phil Sheridan, so I'm sure that they have a LOT of stuff! I've bookmarked the site - Thanks for sharing this wonderful treasure! RE: Amazing Collection - J. Beckert - 02-27-2014 09:44 PM That's amazing and certainly rivals the Smithsonian's collection. I never cease to be amazed how lifelike Rockwell's paintings were. What a fantastic artist he was. There's a small restaurant in Arlington, Vermont I've been to many times over the past 20 years in which the owner's mother is a waitress. She was the model for "The Babysitter" and just gushes about him. |
