'The Tall Target' on TCM Nov. 13 - Hess1865 - 11-02-2013 08:02 PM The Tall Target (1951), will be broadcast on TCM on November 13, at 1 am. This is an interesting film noir type of movie about Lincoln's trip thru Baltimore on the way to his inauguration in 1861. Far from fact based, it is still very entertaining and I would highly recommend it. It stars Di-ck Powell, Adolphe Menjou, and a very young Ruby Dee. And June Cleaver pops up in a tiny role!! You can also buy it under the Warner Archive group of DVD's at TCM.com Laurie Verge is very wise in her observation that virtually any fish is legitimate bait if it hooks a person onto history.
