Ford's Theatre Reopens during Government Shutdown - - BettyO - 10-16-2013 01:51 PM

Just catching up with my emails over the last week or so.... and got this from Richard Sloan -

Seems like the NPS does have some influential friends - thank goodness!

"Millionaire Ronald Perelman, said to currently being the 26th richest man in America, is a Ford's Theatre Society trustee who has previously donated 2.5 million dollars to the Society . The Society has announced that he has just donated an undisclosed sum to the Nat'l Park Service so that the theatre society can produce their plays and so that the museum can re-open in light of the current gov't shutdown."

Thanks, Richard!

Have you heard anything, Jim?
