Just got a news tip that Michael Kauffman has a new publication coming out soon. More details, if I get them.
Just received a very nice phone call from Ed Isaacs, owner of the diary of George Dixon, his ancestor who was a guard at the Penitentiary in 1865, and recorded so many details. As many of you know, this diary has filled in quite a few "blanks" for many of us; and Ed has been on the lecture circuit for awhile.
Importantly for us, he tells me that the History Channel magazine this fall will have a feature article on the diary. For those of you who might subscribe, be on the lookout.
