With Malice Toward One, I have just been informed, is now available on Barnes and Noble's web site. B&N.com is listing it for $12.23, 28% off of the list price. I do not know what they charge for shipping, but it is also noted as kid's club eligible.
Amazon has it listed at $15.29 for prime members. I think prime members receive free shipping. They also list 8 other stores selling from $12.70 and up. I know nothing about the resellers on Amazon so I would check them out.
I will update when ebook comes available, although I think I would prefer a hard copy myself, it seems odd to me to read comics on a tablet.

Thank you to every member who has bought a copy, and or commented on this thread. Your feedback has been great for me. I consider you all experts here so I trully appreciate the reviews and words of encouragement.

I have also heard some great news from Laurie today and am looking forward to seeing it in her Museum store soon. Thank you Laurie.

I am also talking with another museum in the D.C. who have just requested a copy, but need to get it reviewed by the national park service.

BN's shipping is $3.99 unless one has a Member's Card, which provides for free express shipping.

Do one on General Grant, one of the most misunderstood person in American history

I think that would be an excellent subject. I also thought about Jamestown and its hardships (or even The Lost Colony if anyone today has ever heard of it) and also our Founding Fathers trials in writing the Constitution -- especially focusing on the system of checks and balances, which seem to be lacking in our government today with so many executive orders instead of legislation.

Umm, you do realize that so far Obama has only issued 162 executive orders compared to George W. Bush's 291 and Ronald Reagan's 380?

Rob - Did you happen to notice that I did not mention President Obama in my posting? Neither did I refer to those executive orders occurring just within the past five years.

What else could you be talking about?

You really do wear blinders don't you? I made a general statement about executive orders that could apply to the past 100 years for all anyone knows. It appears that my general statement certainly tweaked one particular nerve with you, however. Since I know what I meant and you misinterpreted it yet again, I shall discontinue this particular spitting contest.

Drat! I just got my regulation spitoon's off the front porch and polished them up for a good old fashion spitting contest.
Throwing a watermelon seed isn't nearly as exciting as spitting one.

(I think Rob might have the advantage if he decides to take the running start approach)

Gene, if you still feel underchallenged, you could participate in the cherry pit spitting world championship. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the record distance is 95 feet and 6.5 inches.

Good grief! What spit that pit? A howitzer?

Here's the Lincoln Watermelon Monument in Lincoln, Illinois.

I am head of Youth Services for our municipal public library. Is this a self published graphic novel or will it be available through public sources such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble?

I am happy to report that the first batch of Mike's graphic novel, With Malice Toward One, is now available at the Surratt House gift shop. It retails for $12 plus $3 postage (cheaper than Amazon!).

I will also be sending a complimentary copy to the supervisor of social studies for our local school system with a gentle nudge that each school should have at least one in their library - if not the classroom.

Surratt House was pleased to learn two weeks ago that our school programs on the Lincoln assassination and the Surratt family are being incorporated into the Core Curriculum program and will include variations of our mock trial with writing assignments related to proving guilt or innocence. As part of the national Teaching American History grant that the schools received several years ago, they will also be incorporating James Swanson's children's version of Bloody Crimes into their reading program within the next year.

We have our toe in the door to getting our story into classrooms and will keep on pushing.
