Hint #1: I will not give hints but answer "yes"/"no"- questions.

RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 08-18-2015 03:56 AM

Is it related to something George Atzerodt did/stayed?

RE: Assassination Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 08-18-2015 04:15 AM

This is a very good idea, Roger, but, sorry, no.

RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 08-18-2015 04:32 AM

Is it related to something John Wilkes Booth did/stayed?

RE: Assassination Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 08-18-2015 05:03 AM

Yes, it is.

RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 08-18-2015 06:17 AM

Lincoln assassination books usually say John Wilkes Booth rendezvoused with David Herold at Soper's Hill. Is this what that location looks like today?

RE: Assassination Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 08-18-2015 06:53 AM

Another very good idea, but - no. (PS: The last "yes" referred to both you questioned.)

RE: Assassination Trivia - Wild Bill - 08-18-2015 07:57 AM

St Lawrence Hotel in Toronto where Booth stayed and acted and met Confed agents

Assuming you mean Montréal I congratulate you to brilliantly solving this question, Bill - kudos!

Roger - My understanding is that Soper's Hill was leveled during the construction of the WDC Beltway, which means today, it is 8 or 10 lanes of backed-up traffic....

Thanks, Bill. I had no clue, so I just took a wild guess at Eva's question. Kudos to Bill Richter!

It was a great guess, Roger - thanks!
