That is nice looking, he has a good face. How did you find it? When I spotted this in the museum gift store I had to get it. Was there more than one, Gene? RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Gene C - 10-08-2014 01:33 PM This was the only design, he had more than one at the time I was there, but this one was the most Lincolnesque (an anniversary present for the Mrs? I wont tell) Here is the web site for the museum with contact info http://lincolnmuseum-ky.org/ RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Gene C - 12-04-2014 11:38 AM Just in time for the Holidays. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Gene C - 12-04-2014 02:28 PM That is a nice looking print. There is some nice art on that site. Thanks from me too! RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - LincolnMan - 12-04-2014 08:14 PM I confess I don't understand what might be the appeal of Lincoln with the bones. Am I missing something? RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Gene C - 12-04-2014 10:46 PM Your not missing anything, they just sell strange/different designed pillboxes and cigarette cases. Perfect for keeping "Blue Mass" pills. Here's the same thing only with Edgar Allen Poe http://www.amazon.com/Victorian-Medical-Altered-Skeleton-Pillbox/dp/B008YIYI8K/ref=sr_1_5?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1417749995&sr=1-5 another Lincoln design for a cigarette or money clip http://www.amazon.com/Abraham-Lincoln-Altered-Steampunk-Cigarette/dp/B008YIX39K/ref=sr_1_119?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1417749793&sr=1-119 RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Susan Higginbotham - 12-06-2014 09:31 PM Spotted (and purchased) in an antique store today. Not clear which is salt and which is pepper, though, because each has three holes on top. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - STS Lincolnite - 12-07-2014 04:40 PM Found this on ebay a while back and purchased. It is a replica of a dessert plate from the Lincoln White House china. In my opinion, the Lincoln china is the most attractive of all the various sets of White House china. I think that Mary Lincoln was the one that decided on the color scheme. Way to go Mrs. L! Since I have everything I need but little space I rarely buy household items (unless to replace a broken piece), but even I would like to have and actually purchase one of these. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - L Verge - 12-07-2014 05:38 PM We have been selling the reproductions of this china for years, and it is very beautiful. I have resisted some of the larger pieces for years also. Unfortunately, the company that we bought from (Woodmere) has been bought out. No word yet as to whether they will continue to produce the various administrations' sets of china. RE: Show us your Lincoln collectables! - Susan Higginbotham - 04-16-2015 09:36 PM I bought a photograph album a couple of days ago that belonged to a family in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. The first and last photographs are these two popular carte-de-visites of Lincoln: I was really surprised to win this one. I expected to be outbid, especially in this the 150th anniversary week. |
