RE: Assassination Trivia - L Verge - 05-07-2014 12:10 PM I am seriously enjoying Dave's videos. I worried somewhat when I saw the first one's lead shot with Dave looking a little tipsy and holding up his hand at the back of the Surratt House. I quickly counted his fingers to make sure there were more than one being held up to the camera, and then I breathed a sigh of relief! But then his facial expression, coupled with that hand movement, reminded me of an old-time gangster -- "Y'a wanna me to finish the job, Don Leon, concrete boots and chains off Pier 99?" Joking aside, I have seriously considered having a pizza party for my volunteers at Surratt House and showing the video plus inviting Dave to join and add in as a fun way of training. RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-15-2014 06:58 PM I'm pretty late to the game here, but thank you all for the kind words regarding my John Wilkes Booth in the Woods project. There still a lot more to come, I've just been pretty busy with school lately. RE: Assassination Trivia - PaigeBooth - 05-16-2014 10:52 AM Your videos are great, Dave! I've really enjoyed watching them, and can't wait to see the rest on Boothie Barn. Very entertaining! I've shared your videos with my family; we're all Boothie fans. RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-21-2014 09:43 PM Who is this man? RE: Assassination Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 05-22-2014 05:09 AM (Sure wrong) Thomas Eckert? RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-22-2014 05:21 AM Not Eckert, Eva. Here's another picture of the same man: RE: Assassination Trivia - BettyO - 05-22-2014 06:04 AM Ward Hill Lamon? RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-22-2014 05:14 PM Sorry for the delay (work). It is not Ward Hill Lamon. Here's another picture of the man (he's aging before our eyes!): RE: Assassination Trivia - L Verge - 05-22-2014 06:41 PM Judge David Davis? RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-22-2014 06:56 PM Nope, not him. Hint: He is connected to the conspiracy trial RE: Assassination Trivia - RJNorton - 05-23-2014 04:38 AM Albion P. Howe? RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-23-2014 06:01 AM I'm afraid not, Roger. Hint: Roger previously posted a younger image of this man in this thread. RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-23-2014 06:35 PM Here's the picture that Roger put up of this man: RE: Assassination Trivia - PaigeBooth - 05-23-2014 08:32 PM (05-22-2014 06:56 PM)Dave Taylor Wrote: Nope, not him. Is it Benjamin Perley Poore? RE: Assassination Trivia - Dave Taylor - 05-23-2014 08:51 PM (05-23-2014 08:32 PM)PaigeBooth Wrote: Is it Benjamin Perley Poore? YES! Wonderful job, Paige. These images are of the editor and publisher, Benjamin Perley Poore, who published a verbatim copy of the conspiracy trial. I discovered the first two images of Poore while I have been going through the images of Mathew Brady at the National Archives: http://research.archives.gov/description/525286 http://research.archives.gov/description/529035 |
