Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Station in Washington, D.C., where President Garfield was shot.

Very good, that is correct.

Eight Maids-a-MilkingĀ - Eight Beatitudes

Sorry for delay, busy day. I hope this is no redundancy - what is this in total?

Attachment pic does not open in larger size. Can you check please. I need more points.

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - RJNorton - 01-02-2018 02:06 PM

Eva, I agree with Dennis. If you cannot enlarge it, then possibly you could send the full size photo to me, and I can upload it to my server and post it.

Well, you are to guess what the entire photo shows, but I will try a larger clipping:

Does this work for you?

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - RJNorton - 01-02-2018 05:13 PM

Thanks, Eva. Is it the side of a building?

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 01-02-2018 07:31 PM

Good idea, Roger, but it isn't.

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - Dennis Urban - 01-02-2018 09:39 PM

Image opens but in too small a size to make out anything. Tried copying, but that did not work either. I am at a disadvantage.

Intriguing words, Eva ... 'working' 'redundancy' 'clipping' ... or maybe they're nothing to do with the answer. Looks a little like a zip. Or a rock formation. Or ... (I'm just fishing for clues).

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 01-03-2018 04:22 AM

Dennis, I'm sorry, I'm no computer expert. It is a small clipping and a bit pixeled, a larger would reveal too much as this is a well-known image to avid readers of the forum, especially to trivia-"followers".

Mick - no rocks, more ART-ificial, and this does have a double meaning/clue.

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - RJNorton - 01-03-2018 04:49 AM

I am totally lost. Can you say if my eyes are playing tricks with me - in the far upper left side corner it looks to me like there a person wearing a hat who is looking in the direction of the object. Am I imagining things? It looks more like a man than a woman, and you can see his dark hair below the cap in the back.

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 01-03-2018 08:26 AM

The entire is supposed to "be" a well-known person, Roger (two in total). There are two clues in my reply to Mick - as for the rocks, I suggest to figure what instead.

(Where is Joe? He would nail it right away.)

In the past Joe B. has posted about his trip(s) to Hildene.

Does it have to do with Hildene?

RE: Twelve Days of Xmas Trivia - Eva Elisabeth - 01-03-2018 09:57 AM

Nope, this is further west, Roger. But Joe loves it.

This should be the ultimate hint:
