RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Rob Wick - 04-15-2023 09:07 AM Gene, I guess that's why you make the big money. Roger, it is Rosenwald. He was connected to Tarbell by asking her to write his biography and to Lincoln by being born in Springfield just a few blocks away from Lincoln's home. In fact, the NPS has put Rosenwald's birthplace in the Lincoln park area. Rob, are you referring to a newspaper or magazine? RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Rob Wick - 06-22-2023 09:04 AM Roger, No, it has absolutely nothing to do with a magazine or newspaper. It is a physical item. Best Rob RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Gene C - 06-22-2023 10:37 AM A historical/commemorative marker? RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Rob Wick - 06-22-2023 12:14 PM Very logical guess, Gene, but that's not it. The first historical marker to Tarbell was in 1941 in Pennsylvania, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania put one up in the early 1950s. Best Rob RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - RJNorton - 06-22-2023 05:05 PM How about a play about Ida Tarbell's life that was not well-attended and shut down after a couple of years? RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Anita - 06-22-2023 07:59 PM An oil well? RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - Rob Wick - 06-22-2023 08:01 PM Sorry, but neither guess is correct. Clue: Tarbell wasn't the only person honored this way. In fact, several hundred were. Best Rob RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia - RJNorton - 06-23-2023 04:08 AM How about the SS Ida M. Tarbell?
