RE: It's surgery - Dawn E Foster - 04-24-2013 05:49 AM Welcome home!!! RE: It's surgery - Rob Wick - 04-24-2013 09:29 AM Now might be a good time to invest in pharmaceutical products. My pill planner will barely hold all the drugs I'm taking. Thanks everyone. I'm definitely a lucky man. Best Rob RE: It's surgery - Joe Di Cola - 04-26-2013 08:13 AM Rob, I hope your being home and in familiar surroundings has been a tonic for you. Have you been up-and-about or are you required to be more sedentary for now--or a combination of both? During recovery I hope you will be able to gradually and then increasingly resume your work on Ida Tarbell. You continue to be in my prayers. Joe RE: It's surgery - Rob Wick - 04-26-2013 08:20 AM Thanks Joe. Cheryl and I started walking yesterday. Down the sidewalk on our block and back is about the length of a football field. I'm not setting any land speed records but it's definitely giving me a good workout. They want me to start cardio rehab therapy but how soon I'm not sure, but once started that will be three days a week. I've been going through the remaining Lincoln-related documents of Tarbell, but I've got to figure out the best way to approach things. I've got such a mass of material that it's going to take me a few weeks just to collect and collate it into the proper files. I really don't like sitting at my desk as much as I do my recliner, but all my material is in the office. I've got to take advantage of this forced holiday, however, in some meaningful way. Thanks again. I realize how fortunate I am both in health and in the number of friends I have in the Lincoln community. Best Rob RE: It's surgery - Rob Wick - 07-16-2013 02:56 PM Today marks yet another milestone in my recovery. My cardiac rehab is officially over, and with it is the last medical procedure related to this episode. While I still have to maintain my diet and keep my blood sugar in acceptable levels, I no longer am under "constant surveillance." It's been an interesting few months and has definitely brought about some new things in my life. I turn 50 this year and while some people may not like to be reminded about their birthday I figure each one from now on is a heck of a deal. Best Rob RE: It's surgery - LincolnMan - 07-16-2013 02:58 PM Congratulations Rob- very happy for you. May you continue to recover! RE: It's surgery - J. Looking forward to meeting you in Springfield in October (shameless plug for the "Springfield Tour") RE: It's surgery - HerbS - 07-16-2013 03:23 PM Rob,You are a beast!
