RE: The "Lincoln" film - LincolnMan - 03-26-2013 11:57 AM I just got the movie from Amazon today! RE: The "Lincoln" film - BettyO - 03-26-2013 04:27 PM It's also in the stores - I had to make a run to the grocery and they had the movie in stock - so I got my copy, too! My mom and some friends haven't seen it yet so we're going to make some popcorn and have a movie fest on Thursday night - RE: The "Lincoln" film - Gene C - 10-29-2013 09:13 AM Some of the Lincoln movie sets and artifacts are coming to the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL http://wuis.org/post/lincoln-artifacts-coming-lincoln-museum RE: The "Lincoln" film - LincolnMan - 10-29-2013 09:49 AM All the more reason to return to Springfield! RE: The "Lincoln" film - LincolnMan - 04-30-2020 07:46 AM I am rewatching the movie again now after all this time. I think I have only seen it twice. Yes, twice. This third viewing is better for me. I don’t feel rushed by any means to take it all in-well I shouldn’t anyway-the movie has been out for 8 years! The movie is so well done. Again, I’ so struck by DDL and his portrayal of AL. Three words: He portrays his with Perseverance, persistence, and patience. A whole lot of all three. RE: The "Lincoln" film - LincolnMan - 05-03-2020 08:26 AM Okay I finished the movie. Now I’ve seen it a mere three times. What a great movie. Is there anyone here one the Forum that hasn’t seen it? Had to chuckle at the one scene where it was mentioned that Lincoln was on a fifty-cent COIN-which he wasn’t. I know there are such errors in every film. Still, it always amazes me somewhat that such slips are made. RE: The "Lincoln" film - LincolnMan - 05-04-2020 07:37 AM I do have to correct myself on something I said. With this last viewing I have now seen the movie five times. Sorry about that. The mind goes. |
