Michael Schein, Author

DETAILS
In this gripping true crime thriller, Schein (Just Deceits: A Historical Courtroom Mystery) makes a persuasive case that Confederate leadership was involved in the Lincoln assassination, though he concedes that "at this late date that is beyond definite proof."

John Fazio's new book has already been mentioned in several threads. Near the end John states that, "The likelihood that the Confederate government was not complicit in the events of April 14, 1865...is near zero." John devotes much of the last chapter of his book giving reason after reason for this conclusion.

I agreed with the premise when Tidwell, Hall, and Gaddy wrote Come Retribution and Tidwell followed with April '65. And, I applauded them for coming right out and saying that it would likely never be proven because good underground work leaves no paper trail.

I still believe the premise. Unfortunately, the hard-nosed, "professional" historians have a hard time accepting it - and they can make you or break you.
