RE: Thanks - Rob Wick - 12-13-2012 12:08 PM Joe, Glad to hear all went well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Best Rob RE: Thanks - Laurie Verge - 12-13-2012 02:34 PM Joseph, Your name was mentioned in a recent Surratt Courier as being from Troy, Ohio. Yesterday, I was visited by a 96-year-old Surratt Society member who made the trip to the museum just to ask what I knew about you! Don't panic -- she was born and raised in Troy, Ohio, and your mention brought back memories. Her maiden name was DeFrees. I have no idea when you arrived in Troy or when she left the town, but I'm just passing along the information. RE: Thanks - GARY POPOLO - 12-13-2012 03:43 PM Joe, So sorry I missed your post on having surgery. But I am gald to hear that all went well and you are on the mend! God Speed to a quick recovery! Joe, I hope your recovery goes well! RE: Thanks - LincolnMan - 12-16-2012 12:34 PM Joe, welcome back! RE: Thanks - Joe Di Cola - 12-17-2012 12:48 PM Thanks, everyone, it is good to be home. I will be glad when I can stop medicating since it makes it hard to concentrate--even for reading, and I am trying to finish a book on Illinois in the War of 1812 so I can move on to Jon Meacham's new book on Jefferson. I am anxious to get busy again, but will just have to be patient. Once again, I cannot thank all of you enough for your thoughts and prayers--they have been an instrumental part of my recovery. Joe |
